When you send us an enquiry, we process your name, email address, requested dates and your message solely in order to answer it and to come back to you with questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures).
Booking through booking.com
Bookings are handled through booking.com. When you click “Book now” you leave our website; the privacy terms of Booking.com B.V. apply from that point.
Server log files
When the website is accessed, technically necessary data is processed (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure and reliable operation).
Map on the directions page
The map only loads with your consent. Doing so loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom) and transmits your IP address there. An adequacy decision of the European Commission is in place for the United Kingdom. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You give that consent either in the consent notice or directly via the button on the map placeholder; it is recorded in a cookie so that we need not ask again on every visit. As long as it is missing, nothing is loaded from OpenStreetMap – the address and the route buttons are available regardless. You can withdraw it at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies of its own accord during your visit and uses no advertising services. No profiles are created and no data is passed on for advertising purposes. One single cookie may come into being, and only through your own decision: “erika_consent” records what you selected in the consent notice. It resides on this domain, is transmitted to nobody, and contains no identifier of your person, but a random number as evidence of consent (Art. 7(1) GDPR), the time, and your selection. It expires after 180 days. If you decline, it is set just the same – otherwise we would have to ask about your refusal again on every visit. The legal basis for this cookie is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; under § 165(3) Austrian TKG 2021 it is exempt from consent, because its sole purpose is to carry out your selection. To see which pages are of interest, we use Umami – software running on our own server in Germany. The data never leaves this infrastructure, it is not shared with third parties and it is not transferred to countries outside the EU. Umami sets no cookies and stores no identifier in your browser; there is no tracking across websites. We record the page visited, the referring page, date and time, and details derived from the browser identifier about device, operating system, browser, language and country. Your IP address is not stored: it is used only at the moment of the request to determine the country and to form a non-reversible checksum that groups the page views of one visit. This does not allow us to identify you. As no cookies are set and no personal data is stored, no consent is required; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in statistical analysis of usage (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention
We keep your data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose, and beyond that within the statutory retention periods (in particular seven years under the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code).
